Abstract

|
This is the report of two cases of Cushing´s syndrome caused by adrenocortical cancer which were treated surgically at the department of surgery, Kyung Hee University Hospital.
As we know well, the common dominator of Cushing´s syndrome is hypercorticism or increased secretion of adrenal cortisol. Because of the improved, diagnostic methods, and advancement of pathophysiological knowledge, it has been the impression of some physicians that the incidence of- Cushing´s syndrome is ever increasing recently but carcinoma of the adrenal cortex as a cause of the syndrome is rather rare.
We have had the opportunity to treat two female patients of Cushing´s syndrome caused by cancers.
Here, we report the result of the surgical treatment with the brief review of literature.
